The Idea for Potty Training Concepts™

The idea for Potty Training Concepts™ was born after watching Dr. Phil's first show (aired in Nov 2002) on "Potty Train Your Child In One Day" . The show reminded me of the time I potty trained my boys. They are now 12 and 9.

I had successfully potty trained both my children using a similar method from the book "Toilet Training in Less Than a Day" by two psychologists named Nathan H. Azrin, Ph.D. and Richard M. Foxx, Ph.D.

At 2 and half years old, my oldest son was trained in less than a day. He had about 4 accidents in the next 3 days and that was it. My second child (was 2 yrs and 9 months old) had zero accidents. He went from diapers to "big kid" potty training pants without any problems.

After I had the idea to put together Potty Training in One Day - The Complete System for Boys or Girls ™, I set out to look for things I wish I had when I trained my children. Number one on my list was the potty training doll. I had used a potty doll that had a straight tube from the mouth to the bottom, and as you can imagine, it was a challenge to have it drink and urinate in the potty.
I inventedPotty Scotty™ and Potty Patty™ to be drink and wet-on-demand™ potty training dolls. (US Patent Pending). Not only do these potty dolls drink water sitting up or lying down, they pee when you decide you want them to pee. They will hold the water until you decide it is time for them to go potty.

We could not cost effectively manufacture our products here in the USA, so we had to go to China. The manufacturing facility in China is Socially Accountability 8000 (SA 8000) compliant - which means that child labor is NOT used and the labor conditions are humane. As a result, you pay a little more for the products, but we think it is worth the extra cost to be socially responsible.

I am a mom to two wonderful boys who are growing up too fast for me. They are already 13 and 10.

I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering and spent the first few years working at a refinery and then moved to my second career in Information Technology.

Now, I am on to my third career and so far I am having a lot of fun.
