We have decided to carry this book because I recently met Dr. Preston Smith at a trade show. He is a practicing pediatric urologist - a doctor that specializes in the treatment of illness or disease of the genitals or urinary tract (kidneys, ureters,
bladder).I talked with him at lenght and asked him what drove him to write these books. His response was the lack of GOOD information for parents like you - information about the pathophysiology and possible treatments so that families can formulate a reasonable response and plan.
We get emails from many parents who are struggling with this issue and so we have done a couple of things that we hope will help parent out. First, I have included a bed wetting section in my book on potty training, so I hope parents can learn about this before they start potty training. And the second is to create a section on this website that includes excellent information on bed wetting and the BEST selection of products that will help you the parent deal with this issue.

D. Preston Smith MD FAAP FACS FSPU D. Preston Smith attended Rice University and graduated with honors in Economics. He attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. In 1993, he finished his Urology Residency at Northwestern University in Chicago and completed a twoyear fellowship in Pediatric Urology at the University of Tennessee at Memphis and LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in 1995. Dr. Smith is board certified and he has authored or coauthored many articles, papers, chapters, and books in Pediatric Urology. His research has been presented throughout the world. He established PottyMD 2003.
