This Flip Family Potty Seat for Elongated Toilets is multi-purpose, with a special sized seat for the toilet training individual and an adult size seat for everyone else. Simply raise the juvenile lid to reveal a smaller, kid-size opening.

When the juvenile lid is closed, it appears as one solid lid. When you open the entire lid, you reveal a Elongated sized opening for adults!

This easy-to-clean toilet seat has a slow close hinge to eliminate loud slams of the lid. Even though it has a built-in transition seat for children, this toilet seat has a contemporary, adultdesign so it is perfect for any bathroom!

The Flip Family Potty Seat for Elongated Toilets is also available in a Standard version.

To determine if your toilet is round-front or elongated, measure the distance between the center of the bolt holes (which connects the seat to the bowl) to the front rim of the toilet. If it measures approximately 16 ½", your toilet is a round-front. If it measures approximately 18 ½", it is an elongated model.

4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 A win-win solution for everyone, 8.25.2009
Reviewer: Julie Z. (Brooklyn, NY)

I researched this quite a bit before buying and am thrilled with this seat. We have it on both toilets in our house and it's been great for us and our now 4.5 year old son. It allows him to be self-sufficient, which he just loves (as do we!). We've had it more than 6 months now and it's so seamlessly integrated into our life now that the only time I remember it's not a regular toilet seat is when a guest comes out of the bathroom and asks where I got it so they can get it for their child. It's quite sturdy and comfortable. I would caution you not to stand on the closed seat though to reach high-up items, like you might on a traditional porcelain seat. Well worth the money if you're (a) sick of having an extra piece of toilet-training gear sitting in your bathroom; (b) want your child to establish his independence and "go potty" without you having to help him get set up); and (c) don't want to have to constantly wipe down the detachable seat...this one's so much cleaner and more sanitary.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Love it!, 7.10.2009
Reviewer: momof2boys (denver, co)

We bought this when my older son began potty training. It's great, not bulky like some other kid's seats, and it doesn't need to be removed for an adult to use the same toilet. I also really like the "slow down" feature of the lids, there are no worries about it coming down too fast and hurting a little boy, (or waking up a a baby!) Not sure what the other commenter meant about the adult seat being too open, it seems like a normal elongated seat to me.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 All our guests think this seat is the coolest!, 5.13.2009
Reviewer: DomesticDivaDee (Cutler Bay, FL)

Friends think this seat is so cool because the seat lowers slowly, almost like hydraulics! The previous reviewer noted that the lid can slam down. However, it is so light, I don't think a child would suffer a major finger smash as they would from a standard lid. Also, since it is light, toddlers can close it gently on their own and it is not heavy for their little arms. The kid and adult seats do not smash down, and they are the heaviest. My tot loves this seat because he doesn't have to balance himself. Another bonus, he scoots up onto the seat without a step stool. In fact he refuses it, because the seat is so small he can scoot backward without fear of falling in. Although expensive, worth every penny in peace of mind and comfort for your little one.

2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 good concept - poor design, 4.11.2009
Reviewer: Keiki's Mom (Daytona Beach, FL)

Beware, adults in your home probably will not find the adult seat comfortable. The opening is extra large and the adult seat does not have much surface area, so it feels like you're sitting on a hoop and you might fall in. The child seat is great and has adequate surface area. One nice feature is that the child seat's interior rim curves down to completely protect the adult seat from drips. The adult seat is almost flat against the rim of the toilet, which makes it awkward to grab it to raise the entire seat. Like other combo-potties, the lid does not have the quiet feature, so it just slams down. All in all, good concept, but poor design. The packaging said Home Trends, distributed by Wal-Mart.
