This is what we were looking for. We were tired of cleaning out the bowl on a mini potty chair. It did take some rigging to attach it to our toilet, we even had to buy an inexpensive seat in order for it to work properly. I like that it stays on the toilet and is still accessible for adults to use. The major draw back is I have a son and he seems to pee over the seat onto the floor more than making it into the toilet.It would be nice if it had a little cup on the front to help things flow in the right direction. Other than that is was worth the price

Is my lid wider than most? the sides of the the seat where the "hinge" is, isn't wide enough to let it flip up. it catches on the toilet seat lid. Good thing it is in the kids bathroom and not the main bathroom that adults will use regularly. We have the flip and flush on an identical toilet and that is what I wanted for our new toilet, but seems it is discontinued.
Our Response:
The hinge can be gently removed and fipped around to where the raised hinges are closer to the tank of the toilet so that it will allow more space between the seats.

The idea of this product is great, but the product itself does not work as well as it claims.
Like another reviewer, we purchased 2 seats.
I installed both seats on our toilets, and then realized that we could no longer open and close the toilet lid. If someone closed it, it would get stuck on the hinge of the plastic piece that attaches to the toilet. That would be a disaster for a child!
My husband was able to add some spacers underneath the plastic piece so that the hinge was at a height that would not interfere with the lid, but if those spacers are necessary,then they should have been included with the product along with some instructions on how to make them work.

We first bought one of these when my son was ready to try going on the big potty, instead of his little potty seat. We loved it, and soon had them for all three bathrooms (and one for Grandma's house).
Now that my daughter is potty training, we skipped the little potty chair. She climbs up on the big one all by herself, and does her thing. My son (now four) flips it up out of the way when it's his turn.
My husband has no problem with the seat staying up for him. If that's being an issue, you can adjust how it's installed -- loosen the nuts and wiggle things a bit until you find a position that works. (I've installed these on five different toilets now. You sometimes have to play with it for a minute before you find the right spot, but once you do, it's SO worth it!)
This is so much simpler and CLEANER than any other potty-training seat we've seen. I love it.

I really like this seat. It was very easy to install. It does not stand out like a sore thumb. My daughter loves using the "big potty" without feeling like she is going to fall in. I love that I don't have to constantly move the top of her little potty chair back and forth between the big toilet and her chair. It's nice that it will encourage her independence as well. My only concern is that when my husband wants to use the toilet, the seat will not stay up for him (the brackets get in the way) so he resorts to sitting down and "peeing like a girl", as he puts it. The whole reason I got this seat was so that the entire family could use the only toilet we have without being inconvenienced. My daughter and I love it, but my husband - not so much. If I were the one being inconvenienced, I might only rate it a "3".
