For my son, I took a tip from gentleman that was a single dad with 3 girls. "Buy panties/underwear with their favorite character (my son was fascinated by Winnie the Pooh) put them on and tell them that if they peepee on the character, they'll be upset with them. He was about 2 & a half at the time, and understood the concept of being upset/angry....It really worked!!!
