I am in the same boat. I have a 3.5 year old boy and he will never initiate going to potty. SOmetimes when I take him he will go and other times he refuses to go. Then a few minutes or hours later he will go in his pants. It doesn't matter how many times I take him to the bathroom and offer him rewards, he just is not interested. I am worried that he will never potty train. Any suggestions?

We have a 3.5 year old girl that has watched lots of potty video and is very intellectually aware of the potty training process. We were advised by several sources to just wait until she is 'ready' - yet despite all her book knowledge on the subject and love for big girl underwear, she seems very passive about the training herself. Now we're at a point where pre-school, dance, etc. etc. are starting up so finding time is going to be worse than ever. What technique would work best given that it won't be practical to spend any more than 2 or 3 uninterrupted days with her?
Thanks,
Al
