When my daughter was 2 and was learning how to potty she did something I would have never expected. I tried for weeks to get her to go in the little potty that sat next to the real one so she could see me go potty and maybe catch on to what to do. She would just put the lid down on it and sit there and talk to me while I went potty. Well one day I let her outside to play with the neighbor kid and walked inside for a minute. I heard the other kids mom running into the house and asking me to come outside quick. I ran to the front door and my mouth dropped to the floor! I saw my little girl with her pants down to her ankles standing next to a tree peeing on her shorts and panties that were around her feet. I called to her and asked her what she was doing. She told me,"mommy that boy pee pee at the tree so I pee pee at the tree." I was so happy she finally went but didnt know how to react to her doing it outside at a tree in a neighborhood of people watching. I tell her that story now that she is 6 years old and she just laughs and says I am silly. |
