My daughter will be 4 in March. She has been daytime potty trained for almost a year. She has been dry at night for about 4 months. In the past few days, she has started wetting her pants. I think during the day, she is just not pulling her pants down far enough, because she is just getting them wet in the bathroom. But for the past two nights she has also wet the bed! She is not drinking more than usual, and nothing stressful or different is going on. Any ideas why she is suddenly regressing? |

Hello Stacy, It's been awhile since you posted your question so I'd like to apologize for taking so long to post an answer. Is your daughter still wetting at night? It is not unusual for a child to experience a setback every now and then in their childhood. And although you said there have been no stressful changes in your household sometimes the holiday season in and of itself is enough to get things off track. So I'm hoping with the return of routine your daughter's potty training is back on track. But if not, consider why accidents happen and reasons for bedwetting. You may also want to read up on night time potty training and treatment options for bed wetting. And finally, to rule out the possibility of a urinary tract infection, check with your child's doctor. UTI's can create a sense of urgency which could be why your daughter is not making it to the potty without a little "leak". Good luck, and please let us know how your daughter is doing. Narmin |
