Help! Well I have 2 boys ages 3 & 4(soon to be 5). Both are completely potty trained my 3 year old just turned 3 the beginning of Sept. He learned to go potty very quickly as he wanted to attend "big boy school" (pre-k) with his brother. My problem is with the wiping after he has a bowl movement in school. He does a fine job but on some occassions he does get it on his hands....thus wiping it on his shirt...thus me getting a call at work to come change him. He is barely 3 and the school will not assist him in anyway. Thus, he will be terminated. Please tell me at what age can a child be able to handle wiping completely on their own? Please remember that this is a pre-k program for 3 and 4 year olds. Thanks! |

Help!!! My 6y old son will be starting 1st Grade this year and still can't wipe his own butt. He has several problem. 1. he starts to poop in his pants but finishes in the toilet. 2. he starts on the toilet but doesn't poop all the way so that he still has a big glob hanging there afterwards. 3. Either way, HE DOES NOT WIPE! He does have uncoordinated hands and when he does try to wipe himself he gets it allll over his hands, arms and back. I have tried flushable wipes but then he uses all of them at the same time because he can't get clean enough and then of course the plumber has be called because the toilet is plugged. Is there a technique or book/dvd the concentrates on teaching how to wipe after pooping?? Please help. |
