We have been trying to potty train our 5 yr.old Down Syndrome son off and on for 2/12 to 3 years. Now, we are trying to train him wearing underware, and that does not seem to be working. The wetness doesn't seem to bother him, BUT, he will sometimes take off his very wet pull-up and clothes, too. I am very interested in the results and stradegy of the mom that emailed you last fall or this past spring about her 5 yr.old mild Down Syndrome son. It seems we probably have or had the same problems. I am very frustrated! Help! |

Thank you for your post! We have not heard back from the mother you mentioned in your post. However, I'm sure you will find it beneficial to know that our recommendations, and Potty Training in One Day - The Complete System for Boys are based on extensive research conducted by doctors Azrin and Foxx, authors of Toilet Training in Less Than a Day. I hope you find this added information helpful. Good luck, and please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Narmin |
