I hope this post isn't too out of place for this forum. My 4yo has not stayed dry since she was out of diapers at the age of two. She holds her pee for hours and denies she has to go. She will not wear a pullup. If I put her on the toilet she screams, yells, and pushed past me to get out of the bathroom. She has been checked out for infections and proper urinary tract formation.
My best guess is that something happened to make her either afraid of using the toilet or afraid of her pee leaving her body. Are there any ideas how to get her comfortable with herself and willing to go? Reasoning with a 4yo is not easy. It has her very upset and embarrassed.
