My son is in a very defiant stage. Lately the word "no" is his favorite word and he refuses to listen to mommy or daddy regarding just about everything. Today's his "big day" and my husband and I are about ready to throw in the towel. He's only had 2 accidents, but he's also refusing to pee in the potty. The practice runs have been a complete disaster because he just throws a monster tantrum. How do we communicate that peeing in his underpants is a negative behavior? The book uses the practice runs as "punishment", but his tantrums haven't allowed us to do them.
