My daughter is almost 28 months old and we started potty training about 2 weeks ago and at first she did really good she peed atleast 2 or 3 times a day and actually got one poop in which she cried about but then she started holding it in she would sit and sit and sit and then as soon as you would put her underwear back on she would pee or poop she doesnt mind sitting on the potty to much but nothing happens anymore over the last week and a half we have maybe got 3 pees and thats it she has completely stopped trying i rewarded her with stickers and m&M's but now that doesnt seem to do the trick! i am not sure if i should stop even trying cause i think were just getting stressed atleast i am i dont know what to do i have had her in the potty patty underwear but seems like its a waste of time cause all i do is laundry cause she doesnt even try and go to thepotty sometimes she tells me she peed in her underwear but makes no attempt to make it to the potty can someone please give me some advice i am at my wits end wearing diapers is so much easier!!!

Hi Lshaffer3383,

I don't know what method of potty training you are using, but if you are using the potty training in one day method, in Section 4: Follow up and Maintenance we talk about now that they know what the expectations and boundaries are for potty training, you need to be consistent and follow through with the training. The hardest part for most parents is to CONSISTENTLY follow through on the consequences. Don't get angry or raise your voice, just be firm and have them do the 10 practice runs.

This is a learning process and it takes time.
