This Potty Scotty Musical Potty Chair is a fun and rewarding potty chair, that gives your son the motivation to go potty in it. A musical sensor detects moisture in the potty bowl, it will play the classic "It's a Small World". This music is meant to motivate boys to go potty so that they can hear the song, which is their reward!
Potty Scotty Musical Chair has a smooth, simple, light weight, and portable design with no edges to pinch thighs or sharp edges to hurt toddlers. This chair is easy to clean, has a high splash guard and has cut outs on the sides for easy lifting.
It is designed to be low to the ground to encourage the more natural squatting position for eliminating.
Musical potty chairs can make potty training a lot of fun for your child.
Potty Scotty Musical Potty Chair Benefits:
Musical potty scotty a bust! (Dec 10, 2008)
Reviewer: Leanne Mason
I loved the concept but found this potty chair to be a disappointment. After having it one week the music stopped working. Customer service was very helpful and sent out a new one immediately. However the second had the same problem. Then the first one (which we kept as a secondary) started to work again. It went off in the middle of the night!! I still have both but have had my husband pull out the sensors as it sometimes works and sometimes not. It is unpredictable and not reliable for training purposes.
The sizing was great so I would recommend the non musical potty scotty.
Potty Training Concepts Response: We have contacted the manufacturer and replaced all defective sensors in the musical chairs.
Easy to use, high shield very helpful, colorful (Aug 19, 2016)

This potty chair is cheerfully attractive. It is easy for the child to sit on it correctly. The high shield in front works great! We had some trouble with lower shields, but this one works great. The music feature lets you know right away when things are happening.
Great potty (Apr 12, 2017)

I really like this potty. It's small enough that my one and a half year old can use it easily. My son loves the music too - he thinks it's fun to put pee in the potty and make it play. I also like that the design encourages a natural squatting position for pooping.
The only thing I don't like about this potty (and the reason I've given in 4 stars instead of 5), is that there is no removable bowl for easy cleaning. It's one solid piece of plastic. This makes it harder to dump the contents into the toilet and then wash the potty. It's too big to wash in most sinks, so I usually end up cleaning it with soap and water in the bathtub. I hope in the future Potty Scotty will improve the design so that there is a removable bowl. Other than that, I feel this potty is pretty perfect.

This potty is probably the most comfortable one out there and for that I give it the three stars. However, the musical wetness sensor stopped working in about 4 weeks, which defeated the whole point of getting this potty. Also, it is pretty big and there isn't a basin that lifts out to clean out the poo so you have to take the whole thing to the toilet and rinse it out. It's pretty cumbersome and can be messy. All in all, it's just okay.

The chair is poorly designed. While it works in general it has the following issues: 1. No grip on the bottom so it easily slides on a bathroom floor when my son tries to sit on it. 2. It is very very difficult to for a child sit on and get up from without help unless you completely remove your child's underwear. This is compounded by the fact that the potty scoots on the floor because of the lack of rubber grips. 3. The music sensor is right in the middle so little boys won't immediately
Both of my childeren loved and comprehended with this story (Jan 06, 2009)
This was a great and easy way for my children to become more comfortable with the idea of a potty. The Once upon a potty books are highly recommended. Any parent who is raising their kid right, will use these books and they will love them. This is my opinion but I know several people who will agree with me here. So, Eh.. I didn't get the message, you should be raising your child/children in the manner that the rest of us mothers/fathers are. Thank you all for reading my review. I will look upon yours as well. I hope us parents all share the same message

I don't know how this works, but it does (no batteries). You can hear immediately when moisture hits the sensor, so can reinforce immediately. Inexpensive in comparison to similar products. Great idea!!!
Good musical potty for a younger child (Sep 03, 2018)
Reviewer: Casey Thibodeau
I bought this for my special needs son. We’re trying to potty train him, but he’s 5 and the potty is a little small for him (not the fault of this company, I know mine is an unusual situation). I wish the splash guard was higher. The real problems I have with the product are that the music keeps going and going until you clean and dry the sensor, which is seriously annoying. A 1 minute timer or something would be nice. Also, it’s incredibly difficult to clean. There’s no good way to dump it into the toilet without it splashing everywhere, and I can’t fit it into the sink to rinse it off. Either make the middle removable so its easier to empty and wash, or make the back more of a spout form.
